Invalid data (sound card)
« on: October 07, 2005, 05:10:49 PM »
Well I tried to put the "newer and better" drivers onto my new sound card last night, Mad Dog Predator 5.1, and it appears as though I have totally screwed myself.  I can't seem to find the drivers that I downloaded anywhere on my computer, and am hesitant to delete anything from the actual C Media folder, just because i'm not sure if I can get the info back  BACKUP DUHH!  Well anyway, I get a "data is invalid" error when I do the hardware wizard.  The guy at Microcenter didn't know what it meant so.....
Who are you to wave your finger?

If your running windows Xp then do a system restore to a restore point just before the ne w drivers.  And try again  :)
