Do the Evolution
« on: October 13, 2005, 12:15:58 AM »
Woo..
I’m ahead, I’m a man
I’m the first mammal to wear pants, yeah
I’m at peace with my lust
I can kill ’cause in God I trust, yeah
It’s evolution, baby

I’m at piece, I’m the man
Buying stocks on the day of the crash
On the loose, I’m a truck
All the rolling hills, I’ll flatten’ em out, yeah
It’s herd behavior, uh huh
It’s evolution, baby

Admire me, admire my home
Admire my song, here’s my coat
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
This land is mine, this land is free
I’ll do what I want but irresponsibly
It’s evolution, baby

I’m a thief, I’m a liar
There’s my church, I sing in the choir:
(hallelujah¡_ hallelujah¡_)

Admire me, admire my home
Admire my song, admire my clothes
’cause we know, appetite for a nightly feast
Those ignorant indians got nothin’ on me
Nothin’, why?
Because, it’s evolution, baby!

I am ahead, I am advanced
I am the first mammal to make plans, yeah
I crawled the earth, but now I’m higher
Twenty-ten, watch it go to fire
It’s evolution, baby
It’s evolution, baby
Do the evolution
Come on, come on, come on

You should always include the author, unless we're supposed to guess.

They tell us that
We lost our tails
Evolving up
From little snails
I say it’s all
Just wind and sails
Are we not men?
We are devo!
We’re pinheads now
We are not whole
We’re pinheads all
Jocko homo
Are we not men?
D-e-v-o
Monkey men all
In business suit
Teachers and critics
All dance the poot
Are we not men?
We are devo!
Are we not men?
D-e-v-o
God made man
But he used the monkey to do it
Apes in the plan
We’re all here to prove it
I can walk like an ape
Talk like an ape
I can do what a monkey can do
God made man
But a monkey supplied the glue
We must repeat
O.k. let’s go!

At least Funked1's post identifies the authorship as that of Devo.  :)

Btw, I like Devo music but rarely listen to it nowadays.  Liked it a lot back about 15 to 20 years ago.

There`s also an awsome video to this song...
This is the only Pearl Jam song I actually like,IMO they killed rock & roll back in the early 90s...

It was animated by Todd Mcfarlane of The Comic Book Spawn.

Favorite scene is the pilot who drops the napalm removes his mask to laugh and he's a skeleton.
There must also be a flyable computer available for Nefarious to do FSO. So he doesn't keep talking about it for eight and a half hours on Friday night!

Mongoloid he was a mongoloid
Happier than you and me
Mongoloid he was a mongoloid
And it determined what he could see
Mongoloid he was a mongoloid
One chromosome too many
Mongoloid he was a mongoloid
And it determined what he could see
And he wore a hat
And he had a job
And he brought home the bacon
So that no one knew
Mongoloid he was a mongoloid
His friends were unaware
Mongoloid he was a mongoloid
Nobody even cared
