Guess I missed this one a while back.

Sorry to hear about your cousin Sandy.

While I was in South Bend at the end of April there was a funeral for a fallen officer. Not only was the turnout huge, it was covered live on every TV station in the area. I was moved more than a little at the scope of the participation by the community. I need to get out of California.

Sandman,

My sincerest sympathies to you and Matt's family and friends. My dad is a retired (thank God) cop. I know that cops, like firemen and those who serve in the military, are a special breed.

Matt. God Bless.

Hang in there, just try to watch the trial unfold with a detatched frame of mind and without any expectations.
DEFINITION OF A VETERAN
A Veteran - whether active duty, retired, national guard or reserve - is someone who, at one point in their life, wrote a check made payable to "The United States of America", for an amount of "up to and including my life."
