they didnt choke - they ran into a better/hotter baseball team

i'm a diehard red sox fan but just making it to the postseason this year with so much that went wrong is surprising

1. schilling never regained form, they said it would be 18 mo. recovery time from surgery last november post WS so its not all his fault

2. keith foulke was a total bust this year

3. bill mueller, as much as i love him, is showing his age..

4. clement was never the same after getting beaned in the head at TB

5. renteria had a terrible year where he looked very nervous and KILLED us in the 2 hole.. hopefully he'll be like arod and settle in for 2006

6. kevin millar sucks. see ya thanks for 2004

7. trot nixon and johnny damon really started to break down by the end of the year..

basically the team made it as far as they did because of the efforts of few, whereas to win the whole thing you need the whole team to come up big together.. manny and ortiz did what they could, and we got to see some of the young talent coming up for the future. i think it's going to be an exciting run once all is said and done and the work done by the sox with their farm system comes to fruition

i think the cards will blow the angels away in the WS, but thats just me

A little off topic but I was watching the Pats today and got frustrated w/ them by 1/2 time. Played xbox and later found out they won.  I hate doing that. My patience is thin. Gotta have more faith in my lads.
