Seeing a whole lot of them lately _ even when using a Tiger against a panzer at point blank range. Is this a change in the modeling or because of server problems?

I heard several complaints about 30mm cannons losing effectiveness yesterday also.

I didn't see more ricochets, but the ones I did see were acting very odd.
I did a little camping last night was about 4-600 yards north of the spawn
on a slight rise.  The bouncers were sailing back over the target and away
from me as if they had passed through the turret and bounced off the rear
deck.

Had others that would bounce straight back at me and zip past my
virtual ears.  Was kinda fun actually :D

I had an AP round from a panzer ricochet off the back end of an M16 this morning.  He died on the next shot but I thought it was a little weird for a shot to bounce off an M16,,,,,,

sure it bounced off? or did it just go through the metal sides of the back bit?

why would an AP round kill an M3 if it hit there, it would go straight through and bury itself in the ground.

spalling metal bouncing around would do a number on the driver.

here is a question, are ricochets just graphical eye candy, or in the 1 in a million chance it bounces up into the space a fighter is occupying, will it kill it?

I believe I've heard ricochets come back and hit my own tank, so I think they can do damage?

Mechanic: yep it bounced off...it went up and to the right after hitting the M16.  It wasn't the case this time but even if a round did just go straight through the back shouldn't it at least take out the quad .50s back there?

Pooh: I've had .50s from an M16 bounce off and hit friendly aircraft causing me too killshoot myself.  I've also had it happen with tank rounds where the ricochet hit another vehicle.  It doesn't happen often and hasn't happened in quite some time but it can happen.

The only way to test the M16 (to see if AP is doing nothing, or just passing through it) is to have a friendly behind the M16, fire an AP round, and if you die you hit your own teammate :P

If you don't take a hit, that means the damage model is just fubar (more likey?)

I've bounced a rocket off a tiger before only to have it bounce back up and kill me.

Krusty: Nice plan and while effective I think I'll just stick with my original "shoot him again, repeat until dead" gameplan.

Nirvana: That had to suck.
