Trying to work out community problems.
« on: October 16, 2005, 03:37:15 AM »
What I see is that everyone wants to seperate the furballer from the strat  from the GV play, everyone seems to want to make maps with little furball/tank places and the strat guys end up in a vast area with little ore no fighter protection or GV support.

I was wondering if a map could be made to include all aspects into 1 ???
Why not make bases closer togeather and at around 5K I see loads of the 0k bases and I even get tired of climbing up to get alt for the fight (and I'm one of the patient bomber types) when I want to just dink around in a fighter I don't want to spend 10 min climbing out any more than the furballers do. Maybe clusters of bases so if one cluster gets taken the fight just moves to the next cluster???  This would make I hope for harder bomber missions into loades of furballer controlled bases

I also think the strat factoys need to be moved into a more frontal position. this would make them a more important target, if you want your troops, field ack, ord, (fuel... oh wait those factories are useless) to resup your bases you need to defend them.  But they need to be in a 0 k vally surounded on 2 sides by atleast 15K mountains and the other 2 by 20k so instead of the long flight trying to reach strat deep inside of nmy territory and getting shot befor you get there you would end up with an average flight but the nmy would have an idea where you would be with bombers and might make for some intresting bomber fighter action.? Also they need to be bigger make us bomber pilots work a bit or have lots O guys to take em down. This might make the actual strat more fun and important  to hit than the fighter hangers people seem to have a problem with... although the FH's will still be hit when trying to take the base.;)
Is there a way to make them bigger IE 4 factories togeather in one spot = 25% of total prodution for that zone?

But really guys/girls I'm trying to think of a solution that keeps the AH community coheasive in the MA not splintered and fragmented. I feel all facets of play are importent to the overall game for everyone. Why can't we come togeather and create the great thing I think HT meant AH to be? Instead of bickering, fighting and complaining that some one killed my favorit base and such.

I'm trying to create a constructive thread here, Helpfull imput would be most welcome..  How would your ideal map be made that would include all types of play togeather???

Map makers please feel free to post and let us that are not so skilled in the ways of the map editior know what is possible and not. and if any of you are willing to  put in the time to help us create a map that includes ideas from all that is more fun for the community as a whole speek up and let us colaberate with you.

Please just post your ideas and if you have some major objection to someones idea voice it in a normal tone and not attack that person for his/her idea.

                                                                              Thank you

fields for sure need to be closer together..  I may have mentioned this once or twice over the years.

The alt is fine... real furballers don't need any alt more than what they need to retract the gear.

I don't really care what the GV's or fluffs do so long as it doesn't affect me.

The only way to make the kommunity play nice would involve thousands upon thousands of doses of mild to moderate sedatives, and in some rare cases, euthanasia.

Another thing Laz may have mentioned over the years.

Once again we see it is the "strat guys" who seem to have a "need" for other players.

GV players can be happy playing against GV players.

Furballers are always happy when furballing with other like-minded types.

Yet the strat guys.... well, in order for THEM to be happy, other type players have to do what the strat players want them to do.

Hey... how about a "strat area" on the map where there are no fighters or GV's and the strat players just bomb the heck out of each other's fields?

Wrong.. ONly way for strat guys to be happy is if they are ruining someone elses fun... Face it what would be the point in porking fuel/ord/troops/hangers if it didnt effect what someone else was trying to do for fun???
