Correction:

Given a minimum level of competence, same planes, equal skills, and equal energy, the pilot without the stall limiter enabled will win 100% of the time.

What if they both fire on HO and the guy with SL on wins?
Time's fun when you're having flies.

Well, I don't entirely agree.  While I think in almost every instance what you have said is true, it sometimes comes down to who makes the mistake at just the wrong moment.  Two sticks of equal ability do the same amount of things right and the same amount of things wrong.  If the pilot doing the thing wrong happens to do it at the time the pilot doing the thing right, then they are toast.  All things being equal except for the use of SL, then you are probably right.  Of course, Fate is the hunter, so who knows.

OMG I THINK THIS MAY BE MY PROBLEM

Not knowing what stall limiter was, I turned it on (started a few day's ago) and well I did hear the buzz of the stall when I was going into a turn (and thought that's all stall limiter was), but if what you guy's are saying is true, then it's holding me back. I was kinda pissed at the game cuase I knew these planes could be pushed more.

Dag gonnit I need to turn that off when I get home.

That might be the explanation why it didnt make a difference to me at first, turning it on. Did that in TA.... Tried it later in MA ...*shudder* - couldnt even pull a splitS at 1500 ft without lawndarting.

OK ....Stll Limiter OFF is 100% A must.  Don't like the stall horn ?? Turn the freakin stall horn "sound" down in "game sounds".  Make it less than 20 %.

Newbies fly with it on... U can shoot down a Hurri 1 (SL on) with a p47 (SL off).

Get to know a specific plane inside out.  This will give U an insite into how others compare.  Learn the Spit 9 for an example.  Get the FEEL.

Learn how to handle spins...throttle off, nose down, opposite rudder.  Flat spins especially TWIN engines LOWER GEAR to.

Ride the "Black Out" but never black out.

Learn whats the best "Stick" settings. (whole new thread to explain)

Then after about a year learn about "COMBAT TRIM OFF":rofl

I fly with the stall limiter on, but my stick is so messed up I cant fly a straight and level flight path with it off. Just ask Shane, I turned it off one night in the DA with him :D

In the end you should be thankful for those players like us who switch to try and help keep things even because our willingness to do so, helps a more selfish, I want it my way player, get to fly his latewar uber ride.

LOL Elfie, that sounds scary. :)

Theres one other time i recommend using SL. In TA when its a new player flying with mouse. But i *always* tell them to better swich it off after their two week trial or as soon as they get a Joystick.

Side note: You can *always* shoot a hurr1 with a P47. Just dont *turn* with it. Make a pass, extend to 1.5, rinse and repeat. And dont worry and go evasive if the hurri is 400 off your tail. All it can do is wave you off (303s might hit you, but wont do damage besides ruining your paintjob).
