TIGER, tiger, burning bright
In the forests of the night,
What immortal hand or eye
Could frame thy fearful symmetry?

Hehe, very nice stuff there.
"If you'd see a 109 a mile away, you knew you'd catch him"

It was very interesting to carry out the flight trials at Rechlin with the Spitfire and the Hurricane. Both types are very simple to fly compared to our aircraft, and childishly easy to take-off and land. (Werner Mölders)

I loved the "enter the fock'a wolf-scene".

Looked like bad news to Spitties. :D

It was.
Bad ugly medium alt bird that would HO and GO.
Had a maneuver up it's sleeve that the Spitty couldn't follow, and was faster (reportedly) at low-medium alt than the 109.

So...190 was a badarse.

Very high speed rolls.

Escape maneuver.
Being faster and zooming better than the Spit V, theywould make slashing attacks, and then get out then return later.
This works in AH.
But Spit XVI is another matter ;)
