To be honest, I only remember doing it a few times in several months' timespan. To me, I'm just making a wry statement. I hold no real animosity towards IL2. I just don't like playing it as much as AH.

Problem is I've already got a P51D and B and the only planes really used in modern races are P51s and Hawker Sea Furys.

My other suggestion is to make up your own racer paint schemes. Take inspiration from one plane and put it on another, like the 109 paint scheme on a p38 or something silly.

Always a good idea.

Did this when we were discussing our own fictional air racers on the Flypast Forum.  Since I'm a Spit XII fanatic, it only seemed logical :)
