262 vs 262
« on: October 22, 2005, 11:07:49 AM »
Had a nice fight last night =) Started 262 and went for hunting at enemy field, low. Got 1 enemy fighter, then waffle told me he is followed by rook's 262. Changed my rout to where waffle was, but it has been late, he was dead.

Stayed low and found 262. When I tried to bounce it, he saw me, and it ended with 262 + 2 109s after me.

When 109s were far, turned, had about min. dogfight with lot of looping and flaps turns, but without a single solution. Then 109 went in, so I had to disengage again. Ran them all the way into a friendly cv, when got message from Waffle that he got 262 otw to help. Great! But before he made it in, I found out that it is 2 enemy 262s as my 6 as well now!

So the good 2 vs 2 fight started, which lasted for about 5 min. I used my flaps, and almost broke my stick trying to avoid enemy fire, and trying to get solution, but it was no chance! We had an experten vs us for sure, so my usual moves ended with me in a bad positions for fire every time, or dangerously close to enemy guns. My hands started sweating, and I waited for an impact sounds every time enemy guns were pointed toward me, but I was still alive when waffle finally got one of the 262 off my tail.

So, it is 2 vs 1, and lets finish him! But what is it? Waffle and that second guy got HO, and bang! waffle is dead, and 262 crashed to award me with my second kill this sortie.

Now I am the only surviver of this duel, despite I have not fired a single bullet while it lasted =) Doh! Fuel is running very low. Fortunatly, fight brought us very close to bishop field, where I land my 262 on ;ast vapors of fuel.

mipoikel and timmpa, that was fun duel for sure =), quite rare in AH nowaday.

Excellent AAR! Heh, I can relate to the "sweating, waiting for sounds" part. There's been some times I had that exact same reaction in close duels.

It was fun fight. :D

Every time I was near to get in a place I could shoot, another 262 came to help. In the end I was too late to help timppa and he died.  Excellent flying both you and waffle.

Sad it ended to HO but actually that was also quite fun. I had chance to avoid that and continue fight but  little devil sitting in my shoulder said: "do it do it...." :D :D

Yes it is funy how the game can make the palms swet, and make adrealine pumping in your chest :)

Some days ago I was minding my own business in a Spit V, when 2 red Spit V come in co-alt.

After a few minutes of twisting and turning, I realized I have a fighting chance to survive.

I had to lol, as I noticed my hart jumping out the chest :rofl

It is a great game at its best :aok

Nice story, Jet fights are alot of fun. Multiple Jet vs Jet fights are especially fun.

One of these fights that comes to mind is Fester, Wldthing, ManeTmp, and XtrmeJ and myself a copule years ago vs half of bishland and their jets.

as a JB i had a great couple of those, 1 was against the old AoM was a 4-3 me 42 and 11 VS 4 of them all below 4k just to the SE of that base on trinity A5 i think, on the water with that 5k base (A10?) to the south.

we were over the water, about 10k from shore, i remember bouncing 1 of them on 42, and is was wild... i know i survived with 2 pelts, and i foeget who else lived or died, but it was a good duel
