"After 37 years, the U.S. Army School of the Americas at Fort Benning, Ga., will close its doors permanently Dec. 15."

I taught there for a little while, which is really the only reason I post it.

i do not know much about it other than my grandmother lobbied to shut it down because it trained terrorists

There is an allegation it trained terrorists. It isn't true but that matters little to the protesters.
