I was shooting guns with my dad when I was 7 but didn't get my BB gun 'til this August when I finally took an interest in getting a gun that could fire a relatively volatile chunk of metal.  I have a paintball gun and an air soft gun, love my BB gun though.

Oh and I called the folks at wal mart the legal age is 18 so i'll have my sister or someone pick some up for me.

You like pellets more because they are more accurate.  BBs roll down the barrel and are can be spinning sideways like mad by the time they exit.  Basically they are inconsistent curveballs.  Up close it hardly matters, but with any distance they can be way off.

Growing up I had a 40 foot indoor pellet gun range.  I would often shoot for an hour or so every day after school.  BB guns are cool.

I noticed that too Eskimo, so when I shoot long I use them.  The barrel isn't rifled, I don't think anyway.  The BBs are like using old musket's, they just bounce around like you said, but the pellets:)   I also like to see what happened to the pellet after it hit whatever I was shooting at.  Still have to get my scope sighted in, not that i'll use it must, it annoys me somewhat, the scope does.

You are 16 right?

Lose the BB gun, and get your Dad or someone to buy you a .22 or something along those lines.  More fun.

If you ever get the chance and I have it out, you can shoot my .50cal if you contribute to the ammo fund... averages 3 bucks a round!

My closet is filled with hunting pellets, target pellets, BBs, CO2 cartridges, .22 ammo, .38 target ammo, and .38 self-defense ammo. I also have the weapons in another closet and the targets in yet another.

Stockpiling for something, though I'm not sure exactly what.

Bodhi-

Was looking around and saw http://www.cheaperthandirt.com has .50 cal ammo for $1.50 a bullet.  Not sure how reliable they are and i don't think 100 rounds would last too long, but hey.
