X52 setup issue
« on: October 23, 2005, 05:34:23 PM »
Just walked in with a Saitek X52 rig and opened the box. The connection from the throttle to the stick looks like it requires a PS2 connector but I'm not finding one in the box. Is this another Saitek malfunction or am I just going insane?

the throttle plugs into the jstick

be sure to install the software first and plug in the stick when instructed to

Eagler there's a USB cord from the throttle to the computer, with a PS2 plug on the back of the throttle and the back of the j-stick. I seem to be missing the PS2 connection cable between the throttle and joystick.

yep, I opened mine back up. You should have a cable that looks like a ps2 cable that goes from the jstick to the throttle with the throttle using a USB cable to connect to the computer
sounds like you are short it

Looks like its off to Best Buy :(

Eagler did you program your 52 with the SST proggy or directly with AH? Any tips on setup configs? This throttle's gonna take some getting used to after years of using my CH PRO

Thanks,
Max

I am about to go back to my X45 as well.  I started to d/l the X45 drivers this Sunday but just before I did so some idiot dragging an anchor, or something, mucked up the off-island connection.  It was back up a few hours later but by that time my daughter woke up and I had to watch her.

My X45 looks like hell..all mouldy and dirty...but I just cannot dogfight with the X52.

lol...my X45 has been in my closet too long.  It is pooched.

Next time I'm in the US or Canada I'll have to pick up another.
