12gauge slugs (One large bullet in a shotgun shell, as opposed to many small pellets.) are used in Ohio for Whitetail Deer season. There is no high-power rifle season in Ohio because of the high population and flat terrain. Although there is a black-powder or “primitive” weapons season.

So shotgun slugs are a very popular round to be purchased this time of year.
