MSFS 2004 craaaaap

I decided to give the world of MSFS a try again.  I hadn't played since I put in my video card so that might be a problem in itself.  Anyway I reformatted and now when I go to play a game some texture files are lost so it's like you are looking into nothingness.  It doesn't affect gameplay or anything it's just somewhat annoying to look at.  All the files install, decompress etc etc fine, it's just when I go to start a flight that it says the files are corrupt or whatever.  Anyone know why?

I recently wiped a hard drive and reinstalled MSFS 2002. I got the same thing. An uninstall and then install and it was fixed.
