IIRC, everyone sees that message upon logging in, but it normally flashes past, except on the occasions where you don't connect instantly.

Assuming you're not using Zone Alarm, or a firewall, it's not specifically addressing you.

You might want to post a dxdiag and a pingplot in tech support. You clearly have a connection issue (not neccessarily your non-firewall). Or email Skuzzy.

That's gross and disgusting!  In other words, it's probably perfect for these boards!

I thought I read some place on the boards that Skuzzy said with the change over to ATT that you couldn't update the game from a previous ver if it was too old. I'm not sure if patch 1 is too old, but ya might want to DL the full new ver of the game and install that and try it again.

OK found the post, this is what Skuzzy said....

Also check the version of the game you are running. If you are not running "Version 2.05 Patch 3", then you must update the game. Any version prior to that will not know where the authentication server is.

If you have "Version 2.05 Patch 2", you can use this. to update. If you have an earlier version, then go ahead and grab the latest release.

If you are running, "Version 2.05 Patch 3", and can get to the WEB page, but cannot get past the login to see the arena list, then something is blocking the port the game is trying to connect on to authenticate.

You must be running "Version 2.05 Patch 3", or later, in order to connect due to the ISP change we recently made.  For 2.05 Patch 1 or 2, you can download and manually install the patch from the front page to bring it up to date.
