Dont shoot wad cutters in it. They dont ramp well and it will stop about 1/16" from going into full battery. At least mine did. I dont shoot reloads with wad cutters anyway but at the time they were there and I was trying to see what all it would shoot.

I'm sure that it's a decent gun, but it's even uglier than a Glock.

How could you do without being tempted by a Kimber??

I will buy an expensive custom 1911 sometime down the road. As for USP loooks, I think they look very modern, functional and kinda sinster - I like them.

OK then! Enjoy your USP. I've never shot one myself, but I'm looking forward to it. OTOH, this is not the kind of weapon I would like to own.

I was wondering how well the cheap ammo, like the Winchester white box stuff, worked. Some guys from The Box of Truth (cool website with lots of penetration tests) compared the cheap stuff and found it was plenty accurate enough for target practice. Will grab a couple more boxes of Winchester ammo when I get the chance.

it is not worth it to reload 9mm or makarov stuff at this point.   both can be had for about $4 a box in surpluss and wolf.

I have shot wolf stuff at targets in .45 and 223 and... it is not as accurate but not that bad... it will stick in chambers if you get the gun hot enough....or... dirty enough.... it leaves laquer in the chambers.   It stinks... but that's no big deal.

Reloads for .44 mag and .45 cost me about $4 a box and will easily outshoot the wolf and white box stuff  but the difference is only like an inch at 25 yards...no big deal but.... I also get more choice with reloads (especially in 44 mag)..

and... I use a single stage press not a progressive.
