I found myself in an advantageous postition with my Panzer last night at...62 I think. Parked on runway about 50 feet behind takeoff point. (doesnt get any more fun than that) Guy ups in his Lgay like 5 times in a row; I whacked him with 75mm AP round all 5 times (slow learner:lol ), but his plane only died right off twice....had to finish him off with machine gun a few times, hit him with SECOND AP round one of those times, and THAT didnt finish him (plane usually was cut in half though) ..finally concluded fastest way to kill plane was with pintle, and NOT the 75 mm main gun:O

AP rounds are meant to go through armor. Had you used HE he'd have died instantly every time.

That's wierd considering if you hit him in the engine...imagine the size of the hole it would put in...

Something strange about them -

Sat behind a LA7 with a Tempest 400yrds (convergence at 400) of his 6.
Three seperate 1 sec bursts did NADA. No smoke, no bits falling off, NOTHING.
He then warps behind, I look back he starts to warp ahead of me again.
Straight through me and yup you guessed it, I'm dead from a collision.

So OK it 'MIGHT' have been lag, but this isn't the first time lots of rounds into a LA7 on his dead six did nothing.
