Underside of the nose is almost square.  It's not that smooth curve it should be.  Spinner looks too small for it too after looking at them again.

Oh well, it'll have to do the job :)

Hrm... I don't think you cna use the hook for an air brake. It doesn't have the structure to withstand a lot of force, nor the hydraulics to keep it extended. It's probably electrically operated with small servos (which means it won't come out til gear can)

The color 'tones' look a bit strange to me, it might just be this monitor though...

The IIc is a good choice and as Squire said it can stand in for a an Aug '42 Spit Vc w / 16lb boost. With the '41 Spit Vb @ 12 lbs being added the Seafire IIc is not only a good choice for a carrier / navy aircraft,  folks who currently prefer the current Spit V will feel real comfortable in it.

Now all we need to see it the LF.VIII...

Depends on the engine and boost settings.  About a third of the way through Seafire Mk IIc production they changed engines, and then retrofitted the already produced Seafire Mk IIcs with the newer engine.  I am not sure what the boost ratings were or when the boost ratings may have been raised.

The specs you posted look to be for the lowest boost version with the earlier engine.

Who knows?  Pyro, but maybe no one else.

L IIc with a Merlin 32 fitted Nov 1942 (all Seafire IIc eventually converted to Merlin 32) would be nice.
At least it would help mitigate the disappointment, and be an excellent stand-in for an 1942/3 LF Vc.
Would also give it ord/drop tank options. Single 500lb egg or 500gal DT.

Karnak/1K3 - The Merlin 32 is the one you are thinking of.

Don't believe the IIc ever used either a 55 or 55M, strictly III's.

Skuzzy- you were incorrect
a) Seafire III is a late 1943 not 1944 aircraft.
b) It seen limited use Europe as well as the Far East.

Seafire L IIc
Wing - Universal, same as Vc (only ever fitted with 2x20 and 4x303) + ord/dt options.
Engine - Merlin 32, boost 18lbs, 1640hp
Max Speed - 339.5mph @ 5,100ft
Weight - 6995lbs
Initial ROC - 4680 fpm

In reality it became the only version of the Seafire IIc once the orignal 1/3 were retrofitted with the Merlin 32.
Too much to hope for?

Breakdown-
First 166 fitted with Merlin 46
Remainder fitted with Merlin 32
All first 166 retrofitted with Merlin 32

IIRC L IIC with 32 engine is early 43 plane, not 42. And they came with clipped wings.
Pyro's model looks like Seafire F IIC, so I doubt we'll get 32 engine.

First Seafire IIc fitted with Merlin 32 Nov 1942.
Clipped wings - read of clipped wing trials, but never operational use of clipped wing Seafires. 'L' tag does not signify clipped wings, rather the operational heights the engine is most suited for.

Basically we get either -
the rarest type of the rarest Seafire - IIc with Merlin 46
or
commonest type of the rarest Seafire - L IIc with the Merlin 32.

F IIc / L IIc - only difference was basically the engine fitted. Would require minor change from 3 to 4 blade prop, no biggie.
