Need a Spit Trainer
« on: November 17, 2005, 11:08:26 PM »
I would like to book some time with a Spit Driver who can help me advance my ACM. Time after time I get beaten by the same plane I'm flying so I know the plane can acomplish the mission I just need to learn some of the finer points.

I'm on PST can can be online anytime after 6pm.

I'd appreciate any help

Thanks

Just hit the Trainer button in the game when you want some help.  Im sure any trainer has had plenty of stick-time in a spit to get you up and running.

Nomak mentioned a few weeks back that he's available Wednesday nights in the TA after 9 pm est. Think there was a mention of Fri night too. Rumor has it he knows his way around a Spitfire.

Nomak is no longer playing AH.

You can try hanging out in the DA. Theres usually lots of very good Spit sticks there, that are willing to share their experience. I learned quite a lot there.

To contact the trainers: write a mail to trainers@hitechcreations.com and ask for a date with one of them. Im not sure that trainer button in game even works. I dont think ive ever seen it used.

Im by no means a Spit expert, but im always willing to do some Spit duels, if you want to practice. Flying european evening though. If you see me online, just give me a shout.

This function no longer works in the game. That is if this is the same mechanism a new player used to ask for a Trainers help.
Far too many, if not most, people on this Board post just to say something opposed to posting when they have something to say.

I generally find it more helpful for ME anyways to just go to the DA as Shatzi said, theres always allot of good sticks in there fighting it out, any of which will help you out if you ask for it... When I first started getting serious about dogfighting, I went to the DA every night after playing in the MA for at least 45 minutes to an hour and I filmed everything so I could go back and look at the mistakes I made... Another thing to think about is different pilots have different styles, some like to use the verticle more than others, some like to use flat turns and snap rolls, I myself find it most useful to base most my offensive and defensive moves around barrel rolls / rolling scissors... Once you get to the DA and have some fights you'll see what I'm talking about, I would say I would help you, but I need some help at the moment, been flyin like watermelon lately, I think its like Ruaml said, I'm trying too hard lol...

those graphics are equal or worse than AH2 in most aspects, but what shines out (no pun intended) are the lighting and shadow effects. the clouds casting shade over great big patches of the terrain looks fantasitc.

PS: come back to AH

yeah, ah has an alright graphic engine but the lighting system is very dated
