Due to the large patch Forked Tail Devils  will start 15 minutes later. Hopefully this will allow enough time to download

Yeah I'm screwed too. I snagged the main version and new hires pack at work today and burned it to a CD so I'd have it for tonight's frame. So I thought anyway. Take me over an hour to DL this "patch". That kills tonight for me. Sorry guys.

Ya I heard it was a mess. I made it in at 11:45, but knuckles had the fields closed. I did not want to ask him to open them for me.  All but 2 of my guys had a disco. :(  Several only moments before they were to engage. Was not a good night.

Always a problem when a game upgrades and people get that upgrade via the server being used simultaneously for the game. Too much constant volume load on it. While the autoupdater is pretty idiot proof (and I guess that's why it works that way) being a non idiot (mostly) I just wish you'd get some message that rhymed with "You must go to the download page at flyaceshigh.com for the latest game patch or arena map before you can play" and just do that. (as long as that server was separate from the game server and I'm pretty sure that it is.) Or a choice of a download link or use of autoupdater. We could always stress not using the autoupdater in events to the registered players.

Advantage is it would free up the server that's being used by those at least trying to play the game and already have all the necessary files. That way all the screweyness that goes with a max'd out server that we get in these events on update nights would not exist. Or at least be largely minimised.
