Rally For He-111 and JU-52
« on: November 19, 2005, 07:58:07 PM »
To Whoom it may concern,

I am submiting this request for the He-111 bomber.  There are many bomber choices available to the allied bomber pilots (it is ironic that there are alot of American bombers represented but no B-29s yet there are how many Spit fires in play?) but not so many for those whoom fly for the Father Land.  Please include also the JU-52 transport, though the C-47 has proven it's worth. It is not good for a German squad to capture a base with an American plane.  Not to mention  that the JU-52 was first a bomber in the Spanish civil war so it could have a bomber vaiant in AHII as well as the transpot.

Please consider my request.

Bomber varient would carry less ord than some fighters. However it would still make an interesting plane. An alternative to the Goon as well as a good scenario plane.

There are a lot of German bombers that could be added and would be good for AH.  The He111 is one such for scenarios, but not for the MA.  Better for the MA would be the Do217E, He177A-5 or Ju188A-2, however those aren't all that useful for true scenarios.  They'd be great for CT setups though.

Personally I'd like to see the He111 and Ju188A-2 as new German bombers.

The Ju52 would be fine for scenarios as it is odd to force the C-47 to be used by the Germans, but the Ju52 would see very little MA use as it's puny armament does not begin to compensate for it's 50-60mph deficiet in relation to the C-47.

(As for you dig at the Spitfires, read up some on why we have that many and then also be aware that all those Spitfires took less time for HTC to make than just a B-29A would take.)

Actually I dont want new planes for MA use because almost all uber planes allready exist.   I think new planes for TOD and scenarios are more important.

How fast was the Ju88A5 vs the Ju88A4? Which had the shorter BOB era wingspan?

I often fly the JU88, knowing if a fighter appeared I'd have an 'interesting' time of it. I have to agree that the JU52 and maybe the He111 (and the Do215?) would be a cool addition for the earlier scenarios.

Anyway, think of the perks you'd get if you shot down an LA with a Ju52? :rofl

It would be nice to balance the sides up a little. E.g: -

-   German, Italian and Jap transports
-   Italian Bombers
-   British, American, Italian and Jap tanks
(did I really say Italian and Jap tanks? )
-   British and German coastal vessels

...hmmm - a lot of work methinks.
Here we are, living on top of a molten ball of rock, spinning around at a 1,000mph, orbiting a nuclear fireball and whizzing through space at half-a-million miles per hour. Most of us believe in super-beings which for some reason need to be praised for setting this up. This, apparently, is normal.
