Mercury thru Apollo

I need more! Thank you very much for your responses on my last posting "Trivia Time! Does anyone remember." But we can find more. Pick your brain for the trivial (and I don't mean necessarily educational) stuff that came out when astronaut mania was running high. Things like Tang, Space food sticks, Matt Mason. Silly trivial stuff about the Mercury thru Apollo programs. I'll tell you a story that I have no way of confirming. A man that worked with the astronomy team assigned to the space program told me this story. If any of you know it to be completely false or have anything to add please comment. This guy might have just been pulling my leg.

All of you have heard about how wild the astronauts were. Well I've heard now form to sources that actually had to deal with these guys that they were just as bad as all that. The exception was John Glen. He was a regular family man and kept things to a dull roar. So when Glen showed the astronomers some pictures he had taken of strange lights outside his capsule they were all over it like dogs on a bone. As it turns out there was a waste disposal system on the ship and Glen took a picture of his frozen urine glittering in space out of the window!

John Glen sold his soul to go for a ride on the space shuttle.  This is not a man of character.

Man I love it when I get responses I have no desire for. Thanks for the post reply 1776 but I'm not looking for a critic on John Glen I want funny stories and trivial do you remember stuff. I could truly care less about Glen's soul.
