Trigger thumb
« on: December 20, 2001, 03:05:00 PM »
Well for the past 2 or 3 months my right thumb has been messed up.  Doctor thought there was a ganglean cyst in there that needed to be cut out, at the base of the thumb about 1/2 up from the wrist on the palm side.  Had the MRI saturday got the results today.  :)

No surgery required  :D  BUT! they did stick a freaking VERY HUMONGOUSLY LARGE needle about 1 1/2" into my hand for about 30 seconds to insert the gell from hell steriod tendon repair ointment.  It freakin hurts man, but not as bad as the surgery would have. I had that done on my left hand about 10 yrs ago, very painful.

They thought it was from bowling, but it turns out after the doc and I talked for a while that it's more likely caused from years of using my thumb to fire my cannons  :)  So let me officialy be the first to claim bodily injury from our little hobby.

whew! 2nd time this year I dodged the knife...

Udie, may I introduce you to the single pull, non-pumped, anit-dexterious and significantly reduced carpal-tunnel syndrome .50's in my pony?

One tap, no pain.  :D
