P-38 Armored windscreen
« on: November 21, 2005, 08:41:42 PM »
I wish the windscreen in game was this well modelled visually. This was a direct hit from an AA shell, pilot made it safely home. Wounded, bloody face and his eyes "looked like cherry tomatoes", but any landing...

Treize (pronounced 'trays')- because 'Treisprezece' is too long and even harder to pronounce.

Amazingly, the shattered armored windscreen is still easier to see out of than our AH version of the P38G.   :D

Where did you get that picture from, btw?

ID'd in the 20th FG history as from the 38 of Col. Wilson of that Group.

Also found it in a 44th FS history from the Pacific.  Not attributed to anything but a USAF photo but clearly the same image.

Since Treize posted it, it's gotta be from the 20th FG stuff :)

Quit picking on my 38G btw! :)

Picking on it Hell, he flies the damned thing without mercy, and kills everything within a 5 sector radius. I have a hard enough time getting kills to begin with, if he's there I just waste ammo and collect assists.
