What did Corel do to this program?

It used to be a zippy program, great for some quick photo editting.  I have a zippy sustem (P4 3ghz, 2gb RAM etc etc).  The only thing this trialware thing has shown me is how Corel once again destroys a good product.  Wholly bloated-ware  :furious

I am using the trial version too. Last one I had was 7.2
I have no issues with it so far, I did a couple of skins, draw a building blueprint. What happened to you?

Hey Frenchy

I have 7.0 too, I figured Id try the newest.

Well, on my system, its just a real dog.  I was monitoring it with the performance monitor.  Doing anything, like resizing photos, just took a lot longer than 7.0 ever took.

I have it but rarely use it. (I have had 7, 8 and 9).

I also have CS2 and Gimp. I use Gimp more then anything and it was free.

To think that Corel used to be the second largest software company in the world, behind Microsoft.  How the mighty have fallen.

I have been using PSP since version 7 (currently I have PSP9 licensed). When the PSPX came out I installed the trial, extended it and now that the extended trial is over I'm probably not going to upgrade since it doesnt' seem to be worth the upgrade price.

They promised support for my digital camera raw files (CR2 from EOS350d) but so far they haven't been working. I decided to invest to RawShooter Premium which appears to do pretty much all of the basic operations (crop, resize, WB, exposure compensation, straighten, sharpen, RAW->JPEG translation) and is much faster than the PSP. For the operations that the RSP doesn't support, I'll be using PSP9.

I'm using an old PSP6, which is nice for simple editing.
I've been also trying PSP9 and ohh boy... is it different or what?!
Can't do crap with it.. at least not yet :I
