In a preview at GamesDomain it was mentioned that there were no longer plans for multiplay in B-17 II.

HEh, curious that SSI's Silent Hunter II only will have a decent multiplayer mode, but NO Campaign (other than canned, scripted time-limited missions)

Box sim market is lately going down, slowly but steadily.

I am glad I never got too worked up about the game. I just feel sorry for all the guys that had already started new squads and spent much time organizing and building them up, just to see it be in vain.

I still have faith in boxed sims tho,
(Waiting patiently for 1st quarter 2001  )

I also still plan on getting B17-II I think

I know a couple of guys who, when they hear this news, it is going to force them into therapy.

The great thing about IL2 and AH is that they will always be works in progress. The developers of these 2 sims are embroiled in a 'labor of love'.I dont think they could stop if they wanted to.Unfortunately for the WB crowd,I think that same passion left when HT and crew left.Congrats HTC for finding a way to make a living doing what you love to do.

And of course the problem with Il-2 and AH is that both have an immense amount of information to draw on to model Luftwaffe and Soviet planes. And when theres a difference of note..  will one concede the others is more accurate?

Let me tell ya- Il-2 is gonna open plenty of worm cans about planes in AH when it comes.
