XBOX 360 Probs?
« on: December 05, 2005, 08:49:20 AM »
Been rumor around my area that the new XBOX 360 is experiencing frequent lockups.  Havent met anyone that got their hands on one, so I don't know if this is fact or rumor.  Anyone here have one and having probs?  Dont want to plunk down the cash for a bogus system.

From what I've read there were about 17% that had a power supply problem that made them overheat and lock up.

I have't seen anything official just some bits and pieces from G4.
I have been reborn a new man!

Notice I never said a better man.

In many of those cases the lockups can reportedly be fixed by improving the air circulation around the PSU. Anyway, I'm sure M$ will fix it.

I've talked to my cousin who works for EB Games (Store's) it seems to be the power supply.  Guess people don't know not to buy the first model out. I could have gotten a first one as well. But something told me to wait..

I've read they make a good foot warmer though on those cold december months....

For those who've bought one already, just consider yourselfs unpaid beta hardware testers.
