LMAO :rofl

HiTech if we get these make sure you remove the foam. I'd hate to get killed due to a collision in a perk plane.

PS The above statement is in no way intended to be disrespectful. I the brave men and women of NASA and all the other countries that have a manned space program. Their efforts are pushing back the boundaries of space exploration, and the sacrifices they made and will make in the future will one-day benefit the entire human race. My hats off to them.

GHI

your wish almost happened , but I have it on good authority that they had foam problems during Beta test and therefore wont see extern tanks for a while.

Heres some news

HT is leaning toward flying its next ME-163 mission without the protective foam ramp that broke away from the external tank during its July return to flight, according to a spokesman for the Hitech creations.

Hitech officials plan to meet again this month to evaluate the Protuberance Air Load (PAL) ramp issue and possibly reach a decision.

"The data from the ongoing engineering analysis on the PAL ramp seems to be pointing in the direction of not flying with the PAL ramp for the ME-163 tank," said HT spokesman Skuzzy, referring to the next mission, tentatively slated for May 2006.

Foam is not a problem, i read about fighters in corean war ignithing tanks droping fuel tanks then strafing to ignite the fuel and roast them.
I imagine droping that big fuel tank on a rooks base !!  no need to strafe it, i think they are pot smokers
