I like Thermaltake myself, the one I have now is solid metal, has a side window, and has a lock on the front along with a case alarm.

Another good brand I've heard good things about is LianLi (or some such), it is supposed to be able to be a user friendly case.

I found an air leak in my inflatable sheep and plugged the hole! Honest!

I have a lian li pc60 and like it.  There are updated versions of this case all over the place, including ones with and without side windows, top and/or side panel fans, various front usb/firewire/audio port configurations, etc.  The basic design is all aluminum, a nice big fan in the front blowing right over the hard drive brackets (or like mine, 2 speed adjustable 80mm fans in the same spot), an 80mm exhaust fan, and almost everything is removable with thumbscrews including the mobo tray.  That makes it a very easy case to work with in addition to having nice airflow and nice looks.  It doesn't have the super flashy alien glow in the dark plastic trim, rather it looks like a solid well built no-nonsense case.

The only thing I would like to see in the lian-Li pc60 case would be some sort of anti-vibration tool-less bracket hard drive mounting system, but the hard drive chassis being removable and in the direct intake airflow is good enough and a better system than many cases have.

I've also heard good things about the Antec Sonata cases but I've never owned one.  The sonata is an older design but apparently well built.  Antec also makes good power supplies.  You might as well get at least a 500w power supply.
Everyone I know, goes away, in the end.
