Two nights ago, I was in a panzer on Tank Island. Duking it out for a while, when I hear the sound of an M8 trying to flank. Spot him coming around and lay a beauty shot directly into his flanks. And...
Nothing. Except....this message: Invalid Component 1042
Then; Multiple, point-blank shots have no effect. AND...no collisions. He parked right on top of me, to block my view outside.
Finally... I watch the guy take shots from a couple others...all to no effect. Then, he simply disappears. I figure I'll see the kill message, or at least an assist. But...nothing. When I asked, noone reported getting a kill. Too far away for a legit tower-out to work without reporting on the hits.
I have no idea what was going on, but it sure felt wrong. And gamey.
Anyone familiar with a similar scenario? Any insight?
No...I was not filming. Didn't expect it, so I was not prepared.
