From the 262 manual
height > climb speed
1000m > 460kph/285mph
2000m > 475kph/295mph
4000m > 500kph/310mph
6000m > 525kph/326mph
8000m > 550kph/342mph
10000m > 625kph/388mph
12000m > 700kph/435mph

435 IAS should be about 994 MPH at 12km, or my math is wrong.

Yes, but if memory serves me correct, .speed command sets IAS, not TAS.
