Is this the same reason you're not picking it up for a few days too? Mandatory wait on it?

Yep 10 day cool down period.

I already own a ton of guns, but I gues spree killers only do it with new guns so everyone has to wait?

Nice!

We have a 14-day wait for our purchase permits here.  But our 10-round limit is only for handgun mags and the AR.  I just learned yesterday that we can get full capacity AK, M1A, and Mini-14/30 magazines.  Can't get them for the AR because "they" know about the AR pistol.  Go figure  .

Cali still has its own assault weapons ban, so I suppose I am lucky I can even buy this.

The store had a brand new Carbon fiber Ar-15 from bushmaster.

Fixed mag.

It had 5 round mag riveted into the reciever. The mag well had no hole in the bottom.

You have to pop out the takedown pin to load it!

Well GTO, sorry to hear about your wierd legislation, but meanwhile enjoy your new toy.

By the way, I bought one of their new production Garands a couple years ago and called their customer service number with a question or two about it. They made me feel like, well, a valued customer. AFAIC, they get good grades for their products and service.

Great rifle it will searve you well for many years.
Just watch that thumb as they can really grab in when your loading your clip.

Thank God for Texas as you can go home the same day you buy your rifle.

Dan
They had one just like that as well and I was tempted, but since I already have an M1 with a 22 inch barrel I figured shorter would be fun.

I can strap this to the roll bar in the jeep too for  remote area trail runs.

That would be harder to do with a fullsize barrel.

Got 500 rounds of 7.62 nato coming from ammo man now too!

I wish there was someplace withen an hour or two I could go and shoot in the country side.

I hear you can do it near Cash creek but have no idea where..

the 20 year old suff shot just as good as the new stuff. not a single mis-feed or misfire. outta the 30 year old commie stuff, 2 misfires in over 1500 rounds. that's .8c a round stuff. ;)

don't pay thru the nose for break-in or range ammo. match ammo is for matches. that's a battle rifle. don't baby it.. load up on battle amo and shoot the hell outta it. Anything less than 2000 rounds thru it without a misfeed and it ain't battle ready.. you or the rifle. ;)
