American is trying to put away southwest like thats ever gonna happen:rofl

check all the links

American is still the largest carrier in the world, don't count them out. Besides they could always drag Bob Crandle out of mothballs

Who hedges and who don't ?

Who has the foresight and who don't ?

(not foreskin you dolt)

If a company will not risk manage its future and another will, who will survive?.

Its a story not contrived.........

Southwest will kill AA in head to head competetion. Good riddance in my book. I'm still pissed about what AA did to Braniff.
My mind is a raging torrent, flooded with rivulets of thought cascading into a waterfall of creative alternatives.
Stay thirsty my friends.

Costs me less to fly to Orlando than it does to drive.

Not to mention the time savings.  If I rent a car the $150 or so for a midsize for a week more than makes up for the 15 hour drive getting there.

Ticket prices need to go up.  Way up.

Doubt it...Love cannot support jumbos.

Besides, they're only opening service to Missouri. Why would they need jumbos for that? They're used for international flights. If AA wants to fly international, they'll fly out of DFW.

American can compete, and Southwest won't kill them. They're fighting for one destination, hardly competition. American will throw money at the problem, get what they want (or something close to it) and go back to DFW. There aren't enough slots at Love for them to make it a real competition.

Southwest will die on its own when Wright gets dropped.

:huh your wrong:lol

Airborne Express has a 767 route to Love Field

Air Force One flys into love when Bush comes to Tx

there are L-1011  at love field

Braniff flew 747's into love daily

there is sometimes a A340 there

yeah so I think Love can handle jumbos
