skin submission question??
I read the link on submitting skins it but im still not to clear on how they want it.
do I just give them the BMP ONLY  or the whole skin folder?
so I would have in the zip
an info tex. a skin file or folder, and my info. is that correct?
sorry to be so noobish but im noob here.

I have not gotten any emails either way so I'm not to sure If I'm sending them in correctly.

have any of you had any confirmation emails?

Only submit files that have changed. Don't save the directory info when zipping the files.

Example: On one of the skins I submitted recently, I had the files:

109E4-1.bmp
109e4.txt
materials.txt
info.txt
and a small zip file with some references, but I note this in my "info.txt" file <-- that's how I do it anyways.

EDIT: Nope, I've had no confirmation emails for a while now. Pyro's on vacation right now, so I hear.

Well the default 109E is rather glossy... especially for a dull paint job. There was no bare metal, and only some units (JG 54 when they used Fs/Gs) waxed their planes down for more speed. So the paint didn't look right. Too glossy. The materials.txt file deals with the surface of the aircraft. I still haven't quite figured it out that well, but somebody suggested I try the materials.txt file from the p51B for my 109E, and it worked fine.

If you change the materials.txt file you have to submit it as well, otherwise the changes won't take effect (they will revert to default) even if your skin gets accepted.
