I flew in the ct today and loved it
« on: December 18, 2005, 09:42:30 PM »
It was fun i flew in a k4 and was climbing out then propnut came snuck up on me and nearly blew me to bits, i managed to manuever then dive away to safety when the engine blew. I then bailed, life of a nachwuch... . I loved how we don't have the mentality so much in the ct as the ma, i like flying to survive instead of the suicidal dweeb mindset that we have in the ma.

However people complained about jets causing problems to many of them or something, can we fix this or reduce their range? I would love to see the ct have more options to get it as kinda of a experiment instead of the ma grind. I really love the historical matchup of the mustangs verses 109 i feel the k4 is on par with the p51d. an option i would like to see in ct is the ability to have different pilots under your control, sort of a roleplaying addition. The object would be to keep you pilot alive as long as possible like SWOTL did. I remember i had like 360 kills in a me262 in swotl it was fun if not terribly realistic.

And change the the text buffer message to has amount kills with pilot xxxx, or somthing like that. anyway i see lots of fun to be had in the ct!

hehe.

Skiz, welcome to the CT.

You'll find that the physics and modelling of AH is the same in the CT as it is in the MA. But, we tend to run a more historical set up. Only 2 sides and plane sets as accurate as we can have them (given limitations with the current plane set).

Some of the stuff you would like to see is currently impossible. But no worries. Alot of what you are looking for will come with TOD.

As far as the jets go (ME262) don't worry too much about them. They were present in limited numbers and aren't readily available in this set up. (you gotta really want one to bring one).

In fact the 262 isn't that much of a threat to the allied fighters anyway. They are too fast, and as long as you know they are there and keep an eye on'em, they are pretty much neutered anyway.

Couple of things to know about CT is, we don't normally Vulch, or actively land grab to take over the map. If the map gets run, the CT staff have to reset it. (its not like MA that way). CT staff are all unpaid volunteers, so it could be a delay getting the arena back up and running.

Last but not least, the CT staff put in alot of thier own time to make this arena work for us all. Without them we would not have the CT. If ya see one of'em say "Hi and Thanks".  (and maybe "Hey you guys should buy RTR a beer"!). They are the true "un-sung hero's of AH"

Glad you had fun Skiz, and once again....
Welcome to the CT;)

Cheers, RTR

Skiz

Welcome to what I consider the best part of Aces High.  We never have the numbers of the MA , but the historical matchups more then make up for it. I hope you keep flying CT and bring some of your MA buds with you.:aok

Wow what a firestorm  the JG have started!

If you all go back to my original post.

Hey

I'm not going to mention any names so noone gets in trouble, but some Lweenies are shooting you down as a frendly after they get killed. They wait in the field gun and shoot you when you try to land. This has happened to me and several others.

Would you mind putting the killshooter back on to stop this?

I didn't mention any names, just a simple request.
but as it seems we all know the JG:lol

I was kinda feeling that this setup wouldn't be much fun, but I had a blast flying it last night.  Thanks CT admins!

It was the funnest fight  I've had since I came back to AH . Eagler flew through us and had us flailing around like sparrows in a bread factory. I thought okay this is one of those JG54 109 aces, I always forget Eagler can fly a 109 with the best of them. So when i figured out it was him i wasn't suprised. Then the way you handled the FW I figured it was Tbaron, or N7. I thought I had you three times, each time you would just float out of my guns and then I'd end up defensive. Sorry about the collision. You out flew me to the point  I was out of ideas, and figured maybe I could just hump your leg.:aok
PAC and all the rest flying LW put up a great fight too.
