Pink Floyd - "The Wall" tour, 1979-80
Parliament-Funkadelic, too many times to list, all fantastic shows.
Frank Zappa - Halloween '79, '80, '81 at the Palladium in NYC - classics, every one of em

Grateful Dead - acoustic at Radio City Music Hall - I've seen other Dead shows, but that one i actually LIKED

Miles Davis/John McLaughlin Trio - Pier 47, NYC, 1984
Yes "in the Round" - Nassau Coliseum, sometime in the late 80s - file under "boring but impressive".
The Who/Clash at Shea Stadium, 1986 - the Clash blew the old men of the Who completely off the stage

Red Hot Chili Peppers/Fishbone - 1985, 1st U.S. tour - madness incarnate

"Sample This!" (my old band) - "Taste of D.C." festival, 1993 - played for an hour in front of 200,000 people, a personal highlight
