Exactly,  1/2 sector or so. With the clouds and or overcast moving along so it shifts.

You make for some interesting stratagies IMO.

I think this is kinda funny...

You're saying that one specific kind of limited visibility is bad, but all the others are ok.

Why is glaring sun worse than night, or fog?

Weather is weather, sorry, turns out the sun DOES glare, turn 5 degrees and its gone... easy.  If you don't like that you're CERTAINLY not going to like fog.

We actually had quite decent haze at one point. I miss it.
... missions were to be met by the commitment of alerted swarms of fighters, composed of Me 109's and Fw 190's, that were strategically based to protect industrial installations. The inferior capabilities of these fighters against the Mosquitoes made this a hopeless and uneconomical effort. 1.JD KTB

True, but the sun didn't glare almost 24/7 in WWII either. There was different types of weather.

You skipped right past my point though... Of course the weather changed.  But when it was sunny the sun glared.

My point is simply that bad vis is bad vis...

i forgot who mentioned it, but i agree that moveable weather fronts affecting small portions (sector and a half maybe) of the front lines are desireable  inclement weather opens up a slew of possibilities, fun i think.  ops would be hampered, if by "ops" we mean upping any plane we fancy flying any way we fancy and shooting, luring, attacking, engaging enemies fancifully.  and for those who pay their $15 for that end, fear not.  i do not think we'll see game changes that would cause you dismay.

nonetheless, the more i think about it, "a moveable weather front" would be way cool!!  if we had some heads up meteorlogically . . . some sort of weather forecast that is quixotic in its reliablility from time to time.

i'm sure from what i've said, you've a clear enough idea of the suggestion.  after all, inclement weather always has been a factor in warfare.  should be some sort of esteemable reward for braving it and accomplishing successfully some set of tasks: kills, captures, resupply, etc.

Oh, Aye!  :aok

BUT...I have to say...while I would really like more active weather...last night I ran with a couple of Genrls usually good missions, and on the way to giving Bishland a much-needed leveling out...we had a bit o' weather!!

Scattered clouds at altitude, a bit of haze, etc...We actually (albiet briefly) lost sight of one another at ranges of less than 800K.  Only lasted a couple-three seconds...but it does already happen in little bits.

Now...give me some truly destructive Thunderboomers, some hail and the occasional tornado...and we'll be cookin' with gas.  Although i agree that it must be modelled in such a way as to not discourage too many pansies from flying.

...and the sunglare still sux.  Period.

Roger that, misunderstood:o

p.s. A little "bad" weather now and then is still a good idea
