And btw I find it totally logical that they put a warrant on the agents.

Even if the persons they captured were indeed guilty and bad, if agents of another nation covertly operate inside another country against its laws AND without the co-operation of the government they have no other choice.

How would you feel, lada, if the CIA would operate inside your country and capture whoever the US government saw fit for their own needs? No wait, weren't you ex commie occupant? Then you'd be used to that.. by the soviets.

Well... just a short story. I had 3 costumers of US origin.
1st of them used services and run away w/o paying.
2nd of them agreed terms while he were in troubles and later on he didnt pay and pretended "dead beat". In 9 months he called back an apologize... still didnt pay.
3rd of them used to learn our language and he is fair guy. I never had problems with him.

Well... its not much people in total, but next time i will meet another potencial  costumer of US origin, i will expect him to be "not trusted".

Belive me or not, but US and US citizens are the only one who are responsible for their image overhere.

That would finaly proof that our goverment is in serious need of several well made charges. I would move to another country and change nationality, because i would shame for sutch poor licking of someones "butt".

And yes... CIA would diserve few charges as well.

Funny but I would say that being  Russian I had no problem in France. Show them  that you are speaking some other language than English, try to use few French words and phrases even with terrible pronunciation, and in the most cases you will get no problems at all.

Some advices:
 - Never ask ketchup.
 - Never try to pay by dollars
 - Limit using credit card in restaurants and cafes, and always pay tips in cash.
 - Never order cola or beer in restaurants, ask wine even if you hate wine.
 - Never hasten waitress, wait your order and the bill patiently. It will take time...
 - If you are English speaking speak low.
 - Leave American Express at home, they don't know what is it.

Some advices for visiting Finland:

 - Never speak Russian.
 - Never try to speak Finnish, avoid Swedish, use English or French.
 - Never use Russian credit cards even in supermarkets, use cash or cards issued by Western banks.
 - Leave American Express at home, only gas stations know what is it.

What kind of costumes were they making for you?
I find that most of those in the Halloween costume business are pretty straight up, but some of those making Mardi Gras costumes are using inferior material.

Wheeew man......arrest warrants from the Italians must really have the CIA shaking in their boots.

Don't follow Vad's advice; except for the AE credit card bit, although I know some french relatives who manage having one.
And the paying in dollars bit.. duh.

Just do what you want, and if someone gives you **** for not acting/looking/feeling french, rub it in some more without actually doing anything rude... eventually, they'll backpedal and the only thing they'll hold against you is that "you made them mad".

Enjoy what the country has to offer, and when you've had enough, leave.
