When it's that simple, nope.. it's not complex at all. But, neither is diving down on a plane trying to take off. .. or sneaking up on an AFK flyer.
Now, swinging the tight U-turn to pick off the last hangar without having to extend out a sector.. or making a last few adjustments due to the last impact of fending off a pesky spit or Mustang and course got changed due to twisty stick rudder inputs while gunning.. Then there's duking it out with another flight of bombers you've encoutered en route to or from target..
I guess it really depends what you do with it.
