I understand the marketing concept behind the 2 week trial, especially for a game like AH with such a steep learning curve but...There has to be some way to prevent dead-beat leaches from sucking up bandwidth indefinately while not contributing financially to the development of the product. It's not as though this guy can't afford it, he's paying $55/month for other online games, he just isn't going to pay for Aces High while there is this way to circumvent doing so. He was quite proud of himself for being so 'smart' for getting away with playing for free while the rest of us 'suckers' pay to play...It made me want to puke...

Maybe, but I doubt it...He was saying all of this on country not 200. A troll would have gone to 200 with this, bigger audience.

You know a funny thing happens when you graduate from High School.
You start finding out if you want real entertainment, you need to pay for it.

Ok so you only fly 4 hours a month. 1 hour a week, ok. 14.95 $ divided by 4, =
3.74 an hour.

Hmmm Thats about the same rate as going to see a movie once a month.
Assumeing a 2 hour movie at 7$. Plus you'll pay extra for popcorn, etc.

Of course the analagy doesn't really hold up. If I could buy a pass at the theater, that let me see unlimited movies each month for only 15$. I think that would be a pretty sweet deal. Especially if the theatre never closed. Heck I might live there for a couple of weeks until I'd seen em all.

Granted your the only one who can decided if its worth while.
But I think your looking at it wrong.

The first can of beer costs you 15$. All the rest are free for the rest of the month.
How many would you drink? Its either worth it, or its not.

AH could create a free training arena.  Non paying trainees would not have access to the pay arenas. People could train or go H2H and decide if they want to pay the 15 bux.
The current TA could remain as is but restricted to paying customers that need to brush up on ACM that are already members.
