b17 fun

Over the weekend I had the opportunity to take a ride in one of the few remaining "flyable" b17s.  Great fun!  There are a few more pics taken during flight at the link.

I bet you had a great time.  I went for a ride in the B17 "Sentimental Journey" back in the summer of 2003.  When we took off I was in the waist gunner's position and when we landed I was in the nose.  I remember that experience well.   :aok

That B-17 was at Langley for a week during the the airshow back when the 22's were grounded.  We used to drive by it and say that was the only airworthy plane in the 1st fighter wing.
