Pat Robertson's spin on the Sharon story has pretty much killed the discussion. It's tough to follow that clown.
I think Robertson and the Iranian President ought to get together and host a Christmas/Ramadan tv special. They're pretty much ideological twins, the only difference being which religious text they read.
Sharon... He sure did a lot for the peace process, but the sad fact is that there are still a lot of people on both sides who are doing everything possible to prevent any kind of peaceful compromise or end to the conflict. I suspect that his efforts were wasted because a handful of religious fanatics can probably keep the world divided over the Israeli-Palestinian conflict indefinately.
