FSO: Squalls Frame 1 Issues

Gentlemen,

I just got finished with ROC, Knuckels, MGD, and 68falcon figuring out how the setting issues happened tonight. Basically it boils down to issues with the default table for Mindano and the way tables load.

  • Unlimited Ammo: Okay the default setting tables for most maps have the Plane ammo multipler set at 1. We found that the Mindano map in the SEA had the default setting at unlimited. This is the first time I have ever seen a map with the default being unlimited and we CMs never, ever have changed the default in from 1 to unlimited in the past so nobody even thought that it would be otherwise.

    This issue is being addressed and we are going over all the default setting for this map and correcting them.

    Once we all took off planes in the air are locked into their ammo settings. We would have had to have all pilots auger for the proper settings to take. Gettng 230 people to auger, recreate missions, and relaunch would have made shambles out of the event and push it back to ending at 1:30 to 2 am EDT roughly.

  • Radar: When you save a table and leave the arena and then come back at later time and load the table it is supposed to take all the settings from the table. In the case of radar this is not the case. For some reason saved radar settings don't always take from a loaded table.

    I have instructed all setup CM to manually redo the radar setting before each frame now and not to rely or assume they took from a loaded table.
