Stupid Noob Question: Sheep

I never laughed so hard the first time I flew with DD in an A-26 and landed at the end of the runway. I had no idea what we were doing at first, we went NOE and landed at A1, it was sort of my initiation ritual into the Gunfighters. :)

Who knows why, I always thought that jokes about sheperds and sheeps were typical of Italy.... Sardinia, to be precise.

That was before playing this game, of course. :D

the Sheep were originally (Clutter sheep)  Much perfured to FA's Clutter Rocks.
they helped with the feeling of flying in a simulated sky .

In Air Warrior i know a crowd of people say not "Hello" to another.
They use "Baaaaaaaaaaaa" and get a "Baaaaaaaaaa" as answer :D

PPS: DokGonZo: yes, i do remember modems... had a 14 kb myself for quite a while - bit by bit .

14kb !!! ... damn ... that was near light speed compared to the 300 baud modems ... back in the day.

I wasn't around for this evil con, but didn't HT hook them up with flying sheep that were sporting an evil amount of .50 cals ?

Dunno if it's always been that way, but it is now, "Mbaaa".  There is a EQ and WoW guild called "Onorable Order of Ovine" (generally former AW players) who still use that greeting.

Today my wife (who is in this WoW guild) and I were in Ace Hardware.  We were looking for mops.  I saw this plastic bag with some kind of sheepskin scrubber in it.  The bag didn't have any words on it, but just a picture of a sheep.  I pointed it out to my wife, and she very quietly said, "Baaaaah".

Yeah Ack-Ack, I remember that story.  Can't remember how it went exactly, but the gist of it was everything in the world was a peace until one of the 3 countries (not sure if it was Az, Bz or Cz) stole another country's sheep and so the 3 country war that persists to this day was begun.  Kinda the creation myth for online flight sims, lol.

Oh, and I bet Dok had something to do with it.

Could someone explain to me where the 'sheep stories' come from? Any reference to history at all? Or just something that developed in online culture? Is it limited to AH, or a common flight SIM 'joke'? Have the sheep been added to AH1 due to the stories revolving around them, or was it the other way round, did the stories develop because of the presence of the sheep?

And most important..... ARE THERE ANY MALE SHEEP OUT THERE?????????

Seriously, im very curious about where the 'sheep legends' come from.
