And why was it "most compelling"?

I, for one, completely missed any notice in the media of Thompson's passing. Didn't see it on the BBS, either. I guess I wasn't looking at the right time.

So, just how compelling is that anyway? How is it a "liberal" or "conservative" issue? Enquiring minds want to know.

Compelling as in compelled me to think that a lack of response was unusual.

How is it a liberal issue? I guess it isn't any more of a liberal issue than John Kerry's testimony. Here is a guy who stood up and not only did the right thing, he blew the whistle on his peers and paid the price. It took 30 years for the Army to recognize his accomplishments.

So why do you think this BBS is less receptive to this guys heroism.

Less receptive compaired to what?

I don't think many here were very receptive to John Kerry, or any apsect of that slime's views or words.

Maybe the fact that John Kerry has been a liberal, idiot, senator for years, plus the dems presidential candidate, could have a tiny bit to do with his exposure here.

Kerry's testimony? LOL

What actions did Kerry take to prevent the slaughter?  He's a liar and never witnessed war crimes ( other than his own), but even if he did, he's even more of a slime for not saying anything about it until he was back home. He's a joke.

Less receptive?

I haven't seen any posts saying he was anything BUT a hero, have you?

Are you saying there weren't enough laudatory posts? By your standards I guess?

Maybe it just wasn't as big a news item as some other things and didn't get noticed.

As I said, I totally missed it myself but I think Thompson is a shining example for US forces to this day.

Is that "less receptive"?

Yep... I don't see how the slaughter by temporarily insane troops is a liberal or conservative issue.. it was wrong period...

Take kerrie tho... I don't belive him... simple as that.
