Mac... your friend's boyfriend is jealous and insecure. That's her problem.

Maybe one day, she'll learn that jealousy isn't a healthy part of any relationship and she'll not alllow it.

Until then, you'll have one less friend. It is what it is and you can't fix it.

I would tell her that friends shouldn't let others dictate who they can or cannot see but that you understand and will back away till her boyfriend outgrows his insecurities.

Either that or whip out your banana and slap her in the face with it till she comes around.

Both work about the same.

I've had a few female friends who, once they hooked up with a certain guy, did the same sort of thing. Clipped their wings, no talky to men, etc. All you can do is let it be. Then a few weeks/months later, when the relationship has fizzled out, or she's smartened up, she'll go back to being a friend.

I think Thrawn has a point (other than the tip of his head...) Call him up and ask him if he'd like to go to the local gun club and shoot a few rounds while you guys discuss her, man to man. Pick him up in your car, then put a gun to his head, duct tape him him. Then drive to a bridge, and threaten him a few times, like "I'm gonna push ya in unless you quit being so manipulative you bastige!". Then cut the tape, tell him this was all a joke, leave him there and drive off. I bet you'll have a friend back in no time.
