Theres no difference between towering out while skydiving, towering out while hanging in chute or towering out when already on the ground. They all lead to a "bailed successfully" or a "been captured", depending on whether your over enemy territory or your own.


You can avoid death by bailing and imidiatly towering. You get a bailed successfull eaven if the altidude would not have been enough to open the chute and survive the fall.

Bailed successfull is much better than killed points and perk points wise.

So while the other pilot gets the kill and it makes no diffrence for him, which is correct, it does make a diffrence for you in theory.

It does affect score some, in that the perk mult for bailing is .5, captured .4, and killed/crashed is .25.

Not all that drastic, and really seems to only affect perk points earned.

As far as improving gameplay, I'm not seeing the logic. Things that keep people from flying or reupping aren't good for the game. Having both been that noob hanging from a canopy for 15 mins, and seeing them, I don't see the harm in allowing an easy exit.

Just do what I do, unbind the bail out key. It's a much faster trip in the plane and like it's been pointed out, the kill is awarded on bail out so what's the point?
