Besides dvd santa what else is good for converting mpegs, avi's etc.. then  burning dvds?

TMPGenc is a great program.  I use it to convert most videos into mpeg2 format and then seperate the audio from the video.

From there I use DVDlab pro to convert the elementry streams into DVD files.  It also is great for the DVD menus and such.  ULead has a decent program that came with my burner.

I just use the old fashioned software that came with my burner.

Nero vision express works real good for doing that.
