That's not the spin in question. The spin Geary mentioned comes from being between 10-90 degrees nose down while pulling max controled elevators, and one of the following: exceeding max elevators, retracting flaps (if they were down), a sudden rudder input, or hard aeliron input.
This results in an abrupt tail round spin which can vary in severity. How to recover was explaned in the first reply, which was why I didnt bother to chime in.
